The Prescription: Fiscal Policy for the COVID-19 Economy with Michael Strain

This Week’s Guest: Michael R. Strain

The Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center is holding a series of online conversations on policy responses to the COVID-19 economy. The discussions take place every other Thursday afternoon and feature experts with various perspectives on the historic economic challenges the United States and the world are facing and the best ways to address them.

Our next guest is Michael R. Strain (@MichaelRStrain), director of economic policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute. Strain will talk with Mark Mazur, the Robert C. Pozen director of the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center, about appropriate fiscal policy responses to the COVID-19 pandemic, interpreting apparently conflicting economic indicators, and the US economy’s short- and long-term prospects.
