The Prescription: Fiscal Policy for Today’s Economy with Rose Jenkins

The Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center is holding a series of online conversations on tax and fiscal policy in today’s economy. The discussions take place every other Thursday afternoon and feature varying perspectives on the historic economic challenges facing the United States and the world and the best ways to address them.

This week's guest is Rose Jenkins, senior attorney advisor at the New York University Tax Law Center. She will discuss the effects of proposed changes to the taxation of US-based multinational corporations in the Build Back Better legislation. The bill would alter rules established by the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, creating potential implementation challenges for the IRS and taxpayers but also raising substantial revenue to help pay for the president’s spending agenda.
