The Prescription: Fiscal Policy for Today's Economy with Len Burman

Our guest this week is Len Burman, co-founder of the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center and an institute fellow at the Urban Institute. Congress is once again set to take action on raising the debt ceiling to avoid a costly default. This interview will explore the serious fiscal and economic implications and what's at risk if lawmakers struggle to reach an agreement.

This interview is part of the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center series of online conversations on tax and fiscal policy in today’s economy. The discussions take place every other Thursday afternoon and feature varying perspectives on the historic economic challenges facing the United States and the world and the best ways to address them.
