The Prescription: Fiscal Policy for Today’s Economy with Douglas Elmendorf
The Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center is holding a series of online conversations on tax and fiscal policy in today’s economy. The discussions take place every other Thursday afternoon and feature varying perspectives on the historic economic challenges facing the United States and the world and the best ways to address them.
This week’s guest is Douglas Elmendorf, dean and Don K. Price professor of public policy at Harvard Kennedy School. A former director of the Congressional Budget Office, he will talk about the current fiscal challenges facing policymakers, high inflation, and what aspects of Build Back Better could improve our long-term outlook.
