The Prescription: Fiscal Policy for the COVID-19 Economy with Michael Graetz

This week’s guest: Michael Graetz, Columbia Alumni Professor of Tax Law, Columbia University, and Coauthor of The Wolf at the Door: The Menace of Economic Insecurity and How to Fight It

The Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center (TPC) is holding a series of online conversations on policy responses to the COVID-19 economy. The discussions take place every other Thursday afternoon and feature experts with various perspectives on the best ways to address the historic economic challenges faced by the United States and the world.

This week, our guest is Michael Graetz, Columbia alumni professor of tax law at Columbia University, former deputy assistant secretary for tax policy at the US Department of the Treasury, and author of many books. His most recent book, The Wolf at the Door: The Menace of Economic Insecurity and How to Fight It, coauthored with Ian Shapiro, offers tax and other policy solutions to the challenges faced by working-class Americans. He’ll talk with TPC senior fellow Howard Gleckman (@howard_gleckman).
