The Tax Policy Center Web Site Has Changed

We're pleased to announce the complete redesign of the TPC web site to make it more attractive and easier to navigate.

New Organization Here are our new, reorganized, and renamed sections. You can reach each section directly from the top navigation bar on every page.

• Tax Topics (new!) features short summaries of important tax issues and links to estimates, publications, and other TPC materials.
• Numbers contains all of TPC's tables of estimates derived from the TPC tax simulation model, organized into sets of related tables.
• Tax Facts provides numerical data on specific tax issues, including historical statistics and descriptions of current and past tax law.
• The Library holds all TPC publications, including policy briefs, research reports, articles, testimony, and commentary by TPC analysts.
• Events previews upcoming conferences and seminars sponsored by TPC and offers programs and transcripts or audio recordings of past events.
• Legislation lists federal tax laws enacted since 1940 and their key provisions.
• The Press Room collects media references to TPC work and analysts and links to all available articles or media recordings.
• RSS Feed (new!) notifies you of new items of interest as soon as they are posted. (Click on help on the RSS Feed page for more information.)

The Home Page links to each major section of the TPC site and features these special sections

• In the News lists recent TPC publications and estimates related to current tax issues.
• The Tax Fact of the Day is a brief numerical tax fact that is linked to more detailed data in Tax Facts.
• Featured links to TPC pages on topics of current interest.
• Recent Publications lists the newest TPC publications.
• Most Popular lists recent visitors' most-viewed TPC publications.

A Search box at the top of most pages allows basic searches and links to advanced search methods so you can find TPC products by type or topic. Many searches now yield "best bets" - tax topics, publications, tables, and other items most likely to interest a general user. You will find the new search more intelligent than the one on the previous site, and further improvements are in the works.
