How to Use 'Search'
The site offers a variety of ways to search for TPC products.
Use the basic Search box that appears on the upper right of each web page to search among all TPC products. Enter search terms in the box and click "Search." For many topics, the search yields a page of suggested links, followed by all other relevant TPC products in order of relevance. Topics without suggested links simply show relevant items. You can sort the results into chronological order (newest to oldest) by clicking on "Sort by Date" on the search results page. Additional search boxes at the top of the results page allow you to refine your search and/or limit the search to publications, estimates tables, or tax facts, or to search further only within the results of your first search.
Clicking on Advanced Search takes you to a page offering three kinds of advanced search:
- Advanced Site Search lets you limit your search to a single type of TPC product. Choose from Only Publications, Only Numbers (sets of estimates tables), or Only Tax Facts.
- Advanced Publications Search lets you search for publications by topic, author, and/or type of publication and also lets you limit your search to your chosen number of recent weeks.
You can also initiate an advanced search of publications from the search box at the bottom of the left-hand column on the Library page.
- Advanced Numbers Search lets you search for tables of estimates. You can limit your search to specific (1) Laws, Bills, or Proposals; (2) Tax Topic; (3) Type of Table; and (4) Year of Impact. Alternatively you can go directly to a specific table if you know its Tax Table Number by entering that number in the appropriate box and clicking GO.
You can also initiate an advanced search of estimates tables from the search box at the bottom of the left-hand column on the Numbers page.
